AFTER launching Garuda Drushti, an advanced social media monitoring system, the Nagpur Cyber Police have already reviewed 30,108 social media accounts and flagged 643 objectionable posts. The tool, launched to fight misinformation, hate speech, and online threats, was inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal. GarudaDrushti helps police track and analyze harmful posts in real-time.

It uses artificial intelligence to search for sensitive content, even in images without text, across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and X (formerly Twitter).GarudaDrushti also helps identify people through facial recognition and can trace the source of online images. It supports investigation by connecting digital content to suspect profiles and works with other cyber tools like Cellebrite and Gargoyle Investigator. The Nagpur Police also run cyber awareness clubs in schools and colleges, reaching over 1.5 lakh students to promote online safety.

DCPMatani appealed to citizens to refrain from posting or sharing antisocial content on social media platforms and touse digital space responsibly .
