RDU organises three-day fabric painting workshop

The participants got an opportunity to develop their creative skills during three-day fabric painting workshop organised by Rani Durgavati University’s (RDU) Skill Development Department, Jabalpur. The three-day fabric painting workshop concluded on Wednesday in presence of Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma as chief guest. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated all the participants, saying that this workshop gave participants a golden opportunity to develop their creative skills and showcase their talent, which will help them pave way for success in future. In the closing session, Professor Surendra Singh, Director, Skill Development Institute, said that such workshops and training programmes are continuously conducted for entrepreneurship development, so that the participants can hone their skills and build their future.
 
Programme Coordinator Dr Ajay Mishra said that more than 50 participants were registered in the workshop. They were taught the technique of free hand fabric painting, in which they will be able to bring their creative ideas on the fabric. They were also given training about Tanjore painting, which is a traditional Indian art, in which gold leaves and precious stones are used. Fabric painting workshop was organised from June 9 to June 11 in Vigyan Bhavan, Rani Durgavati University.
 
The participants learned various techniques and art of fabric painting. They also learnt various aspects of fabric painting such as design, colour combination and painting technique. During the concluding day, the participants organised an exhibition of fabric paintings to exhibit their creativity and skill. Various types of fabric paintings such as cloth bags, scarves and other decorative items were displayed in the exhibition. The Vice-Chancellor Professor Verma felicitated the participants and wished them a bright future. Dr Meenal Dubey, Priyanka Singh, Ansari, Rabita Singh, Mahavir Tripathi and all other students were present.
