General Manager, West Central Railway (WCR), Shobhana Bandopadhyay conducted a thorough inspection of rehabilitation works and other infrastructural works being carried out under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, including safety and passenger amenities at Sihora Road Railway Station located between Jabalpur-Katni railway section of Jabalpur Division, on Wednesday. General Manager Bandopadhyay, along with Chief Departmental Heads of WCR Headquarters and Divisional Railway Manager Jabalpur, Kamal Kumar Talreja and other senior officials of the division, inspected the railway track, OHE and signal system at Sihora Road Railway Station and gave necessary directions to the railway officials to further improve the railway arrangements.
 
A total of 47 Railway stations are being renovated under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in West Central Railway (WCR). This includes redevelopment of a total of 15 railway stations in Jabalpur Mandi. Rehabilitation of Sehora Road Railway Station is being done at a cost of Rs 25.62 crore. During inspection, the General Manager reviewed progress of works under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, conducted a thorough inspection of security related development works of the stations and passenger amenities, cleanliness system and circulating area available at the station.
 
She instructed to complete the passenger amenities and redevelopment works within the time period with quality. She also observed the layout plan of Vasaora Road station included in Amrit Bharat Station Yojana and the plan of 12 meter full over bridge to be built at the station. While inspecting the newly constructed passenger office on the platform, facilities available for the disabled, lift and panel room, RPF police station. She instructed to pay special attention to the outline of the works under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana Phase-2 for expansion of other passenger facilities at the station. She inspected and observed the development work of modern infrastructure being done at the station under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana and instructed to make proper arrangements for drainage around the offices and station area. The General Manager interacted with the station master, points man and other staff and gave necessary guidelines related to security. Under infrastructural construction, she inspected the circulating area, station building area, new lift built on the platform along with booking counter built at the station, office built at the station and gave necessary guidelines for the seating arrangement for passengers at both ends of the platform and for the platform shed arrangement at the station. Under other infrastructure construction works, the ongoing LHS (Light High Subway) construction work was also inspected. Principal Chief Commercial Manager Kushal Singh, Principal Chief Engineer Ashutosh, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer Mukesh along with Divisional Railway Manager of Jabalpur Division Kamal Kumar Talreja, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Anand Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Gati Shakhti Unit, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) along with other officers and employees were present.
