In an unfortunate road accident that took place under Khamaria police station area of Jabalpur, an eight-year-old boy lost his life while 8 persons, including women and children of the same family, were critically injured. The mishap took place after a speeding dumper coming from opposite direction hit the e-rickshaw.
The dumper driver fled from the spot after accident. Eight-year old Kartik died during treatment while the condition of e-rickshaw driver Amit Vanshkaris stated to be critical. After getting information about the incident, people nearby immediately informed Khamaria police who reached the spot and with the help of locals present on the spot, sent the injured to hospital for treatment. Due to the critical condition, all the injured were immediately referred to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Hospital.
However, while undergoing treatment, the innocent boy succumbed to his injuries. According to sources, the entire family belonged to Rajasthan, had come to visit their maternal home at village Pipariya under Khamaria police station. This accident happened when the whole family was returning home after visiting Gwarighat in an e-rickshaw.
As soon as the e-rickshaw reached close to Jharia temple, located under Khamaria police station, the speeding dumper coming from opposite direction hit it.
The collision was so intense that the dumper overturned on the spot. The entire family riding in the e-rickshaw was seriously injured. Police reached the spot and with the help of locals, sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
SHO, Khamaria police station, Sarojini Chouksey, who reached Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical Hospital, informed that the family and children had come to Jabalpur from Rajasthan to visit their maternal grandparents. The whole family had gone to Gwarighat for Narmada Darshan. After having Darshan, they were returning from Gwarighat to Piparia village, Other injured included Ruby Dahiya, Arun Dahiya, Kiran Dahiya, Upasana, Kanishka, Lucky.
