From the tranquil banks of the Narmada to the prestigious lecture halls of Europe, voice of Jabalpur now resonates across continents. Noted Neurosurgeon Professor Y R Yadav represented Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and India on global stage through delivery of two keynote master lectures on ‘Recent Advances in Neuroendoscopy’ in the historic city of Cuneo, Italy. Each 45-minute session captivated a distinguished audience that included neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, orthopaedic surgeons, as well as health administrators and medical policymakers.

Their thoughtful participation and enthusiasm highlighted the growing international relevance of neuroendoscopic innovation. What made the occasion truly memorable was heartfelt reception from the Italian medical community, who recognised and celebrated the groundbreaking contributions emerging from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College [(NSCBMC), Jabalpur. Sharing the platform with global experts, Professor Yadav expressed deep gratitude for this opportunity to engage in such a meaningful global exchange of knowledge and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques through international collaboration.

Jabalpur’s excellence has now found its place in the global neurosurgical narrative — and this is only the beginning. Professor Yadav has served as Founder Director of the Super Speciality Hospital and the School of Excellence in Neurosurgery at NSCB (Government) Medical College, Jabalpur. He is the first neurosurgeon or neurophysician from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to have held the prestigious role of President of Neurological Society of India, the nation’s foremost society of neuroscientists. He also served as President of Neuroendoscopy Society of India. In 2023, he was also honoured to serve as the International Ambassador of the Neurological Society of India at the Annual Conference of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons in Washington, USA.
