After a long wait, the monsoon is finally set to make its debut in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is expected to enter the State on June 15 and 16. Even before its official arrival, a dual weather pattern is being observed across different parts of the State, while some areas are grappling with intense heat, others are experiencing thunderstorms and light rain. On Saturday, many districts witnessed heatwave conditions, with strong hot winds prevailing especially in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall was recorded in Ratlam, Jhabua, and Alirajpur. Khajuraho was the hottest at 45 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms with rain for over 30 districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. Several areas may also experience strong winds ranging from 40 to 60 kilometres per hour. A yellow alert has been issued for Indore and surrounding districts, where wind speeds could reach up to 50 kmph. A warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Mandla and Balaghat districts on Sunday. Additionally, light to moderate rain is expected in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Shahdol, Anuppur, and other districts.

Additionally, rain is expected in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Panna, Damoh, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Guna, Rajgarh, Agar-Malwa, Satna, Maihar, Mauganj, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, and Neemuch.
