The State-level Ladli Bahna and Mahila Sammelan, earlier postponed due to the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, will now be held on Monday, June 16 at Bargi in Jabalpur district. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier scheduled for June 13, the programme was deferred after the state government cancelled all public events to mourn the victims of the Ahmedabad air crash. The new date has now been finalized and preparations are underway for the grand event.
During the event, the Chief Minister will transfer the June instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana directly into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries across Madhya Pradesh through a single-click disbursement. He will also interact with the participating women and address the gathering. The CM will also initiate disbursement of instalments under other major welfare schemes including the Social Security Pension Scheme, Sambal Yojana and the Gas Cylinder Refilling Scheme.
Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, Dr. Yadav will transfer Rs 1,551.44 crore into the bank accounts of 1.27 crore women beneficiaries across the state. This marks the 25th monthly instalment under the scheme, which provides Rs 1250 per month to each registered woman.
In addition, Rs 341 crore will be disbursed to 56.68 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme. The Chief Minister will also transfer Rs 39.14 crore to over 27 lakh women for gas cylinder refills and Rs 150 crore as ex-gratia aid to 6,821 labourer families under the Sambal Yojana, each with a single-click transaction.
Along with the financial disbursements, the Chief Minister is also scheduled to inaugurate and perform bhoomipujan for various development projects in the region. Thousands of beneficiaries and local citizens are expected to participate in the mega event.
