The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the highly anticipated results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 on Saturday, bringing jubilation and relief to lakhs of aspiring medical students across the country.
Madhya Pradesh has showcased a commendable performance this year, with Utkarsh Awadhiya from the State securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 2. Utkarsh Awadhiya achieved this rank by scoring 682 out of 720.
Notably, four students from the State secured spots in the top 100: Agam Jain from Bhopal at AIR 45 with a 99.99 percentile, Anubhav Pandey at AIR 79, Mohit Bharti from Ujjain at AIR 82 with 649 marks, and Utkarsh Awadhiya at AIR 2.
The examination, a crucial gateway for admission to undergraduate medical courses, saw a massive participation nationwide.
The NTA conducted NEET (UG) 2025 on May 4, 2025, across 5468 centres in 552 cities within India and 14 cities abroad, catering to over 22 lakh candidates. The results, declared mark a significant milestone for students aiming for a career in medicine and allied fields.
Madhya Pradesh’s performance in NEET UG 2025 stands out. A total of 1,21,501 candidates registered from the State, with 1,18,244 appearing for the rigorous examination.
Out of these, a remarkable 60,346 candidates successfully qualified, demonstrating the dedication and hard work of students and educators in Madhya Pradesh.
This year’s qualification numbers show a slight increase for Madhya Pradesh compared to 60,065 qualified candidates in 2024, despite a decrease in total registrations and appearances from the State.
The highlight for Madhya Pradesh is undoubtedly Utkarsh Awadhiya’s exceptional achievement. Utkarsh secured the All India Rank 2 with a percentile of 99.9999095, placing him among the nation’s top performers.
This stellar performance is a source of immense pride for the state and will undoubtedly inspire many future aspirants.
Nationally, the NEET UG 2025 examination saw 22,76,069 candidates register, with 22,09,318 appearing and 12,36,531 successfully qualifying. The NTA is responsible for conducting the examination and declaring results, while admitting authorities will use these All India Ranks to create merit lists for MBBS/BDS seats. State counselling authorities will prepare their own merit lists based on the state category list and domicile.
In State, a total of 4,938 MBBS seats are available for admission. Of these, 2,488 seats are in Government colleges, and 2,450 seats are in private colleges. Additionally, private colleges offer 1,220 BDS seats.
As the counselling process is set to begin, aspiring doctors from Madhya Pradesh, especially those from Bhopal, are eagerly looking forward to securing their dream seats in medical institutions across the country. The impressive results from the State, led by Utkarsh Awadhiya’s outstanding
performance, underscore Madhya Pradesh’s growing presence in the national medical education landscape.
