Umaid Khan, a student of Indian Olympiad School, has emerged as the probable city topper in the NEET UG 2025 Examination, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 21. The results were declared on Saturday. He scored 95.6 per cent in both Class X and Class XII. Umaid told ‘The Hitavada’ that his interest in the medical field began in Class IX. From then on, he was determined to clear NEET and never had a backup plan. He now plans to pursue MBBS at AIIMS, New Delhi. Umaid stated, “Observing the challenges faced by doctors during the Covid-19 pandemic made me realise that our country needs more medical professionals.

An increasing number of doctors in the coming years will lead to more efficient healthcare, reduce stress on existing doctors, and a positive impact.” Offering advice to other students considering a career in medicine, Umaid noted that one should not choose this field in haste, which requires years of constant commitment and deep study. Umaid’s father, Furquan Ahmed Khan, is a Civil Engineer, and his mother, Shaheen Parveen, is a homemaker.

He has two elder brothers, Adeel Khan, an MTech Structural Engineer, and Areeb Khan, who is currently in his final year of MBBS at Government Medical College, Yavatmal. “I am grateful for my family’s and teachers’ support. When I come across any challenge, I have my brother’s guidance. I also learned not to compare my marks or progress with others, just to keep improving myself,” Umaid concluded.
