Gazetted police officers conducted surprise inspection of different police stations in the area of their jurisdiction midnight on Sunday. The inspections were conducted following the directives issued by Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh. Compliance with the direction, all gazetted officers of Jabalpur district carried out sudden checks at their respective jurisdictional stations during the night of June 15, between 12 midnight and 5 am. Additional SP (Zone-2) Samar Verma conducted a surprise inspection at Cantonment (Cantt) Police Station, while Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma inspected Gosalpur Police Station. During the inspection, both officers checked the police station’s property room, verifying the maintenance of seized items, arms and ammunition and riot drill equipment. They also examined the lockup and reviewed official registers to ensure they were properly updated. The functionality of CCTV cameras installed in the premises was also verified.

 

The officers instructed that all pending complaints received through the CM Helpline and public hearings should be resolved promptly and satisfactorily. They emphasised the need for sensitivity in handling complaints from women, children, the elderly and marginalised sections of society, and directed immediate, lawful action and relief in such cases without any negligence. Similar surprise inspections were carried out by the officers include CSP, Kotwali Ritesh Kumar Shiv at Madan Mahal Police Station, CSP Ranjhi Satish Kumar Sahu at Ranjhi Police Station, CSP Gorakhpur MD Nagotiya at Gorakhpur Police Station, CSP Gohalpur Sunil Nema at Gohalpur Police Station, CSP Garha HR Pandey at Tilwara Police Station, CSP Madhotal BS Gothariya at Madhotal Police Station, SDOP Patan Lokesh Dabar at Katangi Police Station and SDOP Bargi Anjul Ayank Mishra at Bhedaghat Police Station. These inspections aim to ensure accountability, efficiency and public trust in the policing system.
