ONE worker was killed and six
others were seriously injured in
a reactor pipe blast at a factory
at Bhilgaon, near
Kamptee, on Tuesday
morning.Theincident
took place at Ankit

Private Limited, located on the busy
K a mptee- N a gpur
Road, around 10.30
am, when a nozzle
pipe of a hot water
reactor burst unexpectedly.
The worker who lost his life in
the incident has been identified
as Sudhir Rameshwar Kalbande
(42), a resident ofDattaNagar at
Kanhan in Parseoni tehsil. He
was among the seven workers
operatingmachineryon the third
floor of the factory
when the accident
occurred.
According to police,
the factory has been
operating for many
years and manufacturesproducts thatare
used in pharmaceutical units.
During the
process, water is used
at a high temperature
of 125 degrees celsius. The factory runs in three shifts and
employsabout90workers.Board
Directors of the company are
Rajesh Mohanlal Agrawal and
Anil Rameshwarlal Agrawal.
On Monday, during the firstshift that began at 7 am, seven
workers were working on a
machine on the third floor.
Suddenly, a manual nozzle pipe
connected to a hot water reactorburst.Asaresult,boilingwater
mixed with chemicals splashed
directly onto the workers which
caused severe burns.
The injured have been identified as: DineshTembhurne (60),
a resident of Indora; Mangesh
Raut (32), a resident of
Hudkeshwar; Yunus Khan
Mehboob Khan (38), a resident
of Kamptee; Swapnadeep
Pradeep Vaidya (46), a resident
of Indora; Ashish Ramesh
Wadkule (35), a resident of
Kandri, Kanhan and Ganesh
Ramdas Wankhede (55), a resident of Sundar Nagar,
Bhandewadi.
All injured workers were
immediately rushed to a
Hospital. Unfortunately, Sudhir
Kalbande succumbed to his
injuries around 1 pm during
treatment. The other six workers arein critical condition, with
Dinesh Tembhurne and
Mangesh Raut being shifted to a
private hospital in Nagpur for
specialised care.
