The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) felicitated 40 retired sanitation workers for their dedicated service to maintaining the city’s health and cleanliness. Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Bhagat presided over the function held at NMC head Office in Civil Lines. Chief Sanitation Officer Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Public Relations Officer Manish Soni, Superintendent of the Sanitation Department Suresh Shivankar, and other officials were also present. On the occasion, Bhagat applauded the retired sanitation workers for their tireless efforts in keeping the city clean. He further emphasized the importance of sanitation work in maintaining the city’s health.
 
Expressing his views, Dr Gajendra Mahalle praised the sanitation workers, stating that their work has created a new identity for the city. He thanked them for their dedicated service and wished them well for their future endeavors. Each of the retired sanitation workers was presented with a tulsi sapling, shawl, shrifal, and a certificate of appreciation. The programme was conducted by Arun Turkel, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Lokesh Basanvar.
