HLA typing test health camp held

A free HLA Typing Test and Health Check-Up Camp for children suffering from Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease was successfully organized at the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Hall, Jabalpur. The event was held under the joint aegis of Mukti Thalassemia Welfare, Kokilaben Hospital Mumbai, YogMani Trust Jabalpur and Parents Thalassemia Association.
 
Dr Vivek Jain from Mukti Thalassemia Welfare informed that such HLA typing tests are organised annually for children from various districts of Madhya Pradesh, aiming to provide maximum benefit to the patients. The organisation’s primary objective is to ensure these children avail government-supported facilities and healthcare. This year, 92 children from nearby districts participated and availed the benefits of the camp. Dr Shantanu Sen from Kokilaben Hospital conducted free health check-ups for the children and provided proper medical advice and guidance during the camp. Prominent doctors present during the camp included Dr Jitendra Jamdar, Dr Sanjay Mishra, Dr Ashwani Kumar Trivedi, Dr Sanjay Pyasi and Dr K K Verma. Members and volunteers from Mukti Thalassemia and partner organisations, including Neelu Jain, Kavita Srivastava, Dr Sharad Khare, Pallavi Somaiya, Dr Shrikant Sahu, Dr Virendra Sahu, Dr Sachin Budholia, Sujit Rajput, Meeta Singh, Rupali Khare, Rajendra Khare, Dr Shabnam Saket, Megha Raivakwar and many others were also present and contributed to the camp’s success.
