State announces recruitment for 19,500 Anganwadi workers and assistant posts, extends application deadline

Directorate of Women and Child Development, Madhya Pradesh, has extended application deadline for recruitment of Anganwadi workers and assistants through MP Online portal. The new last date to apply for these positions is July 4, 2025. Furthermore, applicants will have until July 7, 2025, to make any corrections or modifications to their submitted applications. Madhya Pradesh Women and Child Development Department has launched a recruitment drive to fill 19,500 vacant Anganwadi posts across the State.
Vacancies include 2,027 Anganwadi Worker positions and 17,477 Anganwadi Assistant positions. Interested candidates must apply within next 10 days through MP Online selection portal. Offline applications will not be considered and no applications will be accepted at departmental offices. The application fee is Rs 100 plus 18% GST for submissions made through MP Online kiosks or the portal.
Eligibility Criteria:
l Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary education.
l Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 years as of January 1, 2025.
l Candidates must be residents of specific revenue village (for rural areas) or ward (for urban areas) where the vacancy exists.
l Applications from residents of other villages or wards will not be accepted.
The recruitment process is subject to ongoing or future court cases at district, divisional or high court level. Final selections and appointments will abide by court decisions.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav congratulated 650 newly selected supervisors, emphasising the State Government’s commitment to welfare of employees, farmers, youth, women, and other sections of society. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board has selected candidates for 11,400 posts, with 4,000 already posted and the process for the remaining 7,400 nearing completion. Additionally, 3,756 candidates selected through the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission have been posted.
