In A horrific accident, two teenagers, including a 17-year-old driver, were killed and one was critically injured on Bhopal’s Airport Road near Datta Colony around 1 pm on Sunday. Koh-e-Fiza Police Station In-charge KG Shukla identified the deceased driver as Danish, son of Zahir Khan, a resident of Karod Housing Board Colony.
The second victim, Hani, succumbed to injuries during treatment at Hamidia Hospital. Danish and his two friends were returning from a dhaba on Parvalia Road when the car hit cement planters on the divider near Gulmohar Garden, causing it to overturn and crash into the auto-rickshaw. The impact was so severe that Danish died on the spot.
Rescue operations took nearly an hour, with locals and police breaking the car’s door to free two passengers trapped inside, one wedged between the front seat and dashboard.
