Body found stuffed in suitcase jammed with cement

A disturbing discovery was made in Indraprastha Colony of RDA near Raipura Chowk, where police found the body of a young man encased in cement within a suitcase on Monday. The suitcase itself had been placed inside an aluminum box and locked. The gruesome find was reported by passersby who noticed a foul smell emanating from the area on Monday afternoon. Upon receiving the Dial 112 call, emergency personnel responded, opened the box, and immediately alerted senior officials.

The scene was promptly visited by DD Nagar police station in-charge, ASP West Daulatram Porte, and other officers. An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team also arrived to process the evidence. Investigators suspect th\e box may have been recently deposited, or it would have been discovered earlier. The body is severely mutilated, and the deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 45 years old. Former MLA Vikas Upadhyay also visited the site, raising concerns about the prevailing law and order situation. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.

IN a grim discovery that has shocked the residents of Sajbahar in Tapkara, the bodies of a woman and two children were found buried near the Utiyal riverbank on Monday. The recovery, which followed a tip-off about a drunken confession, has prompted police to register a case of murder and launch an intensive probe. According to Tapkara police, a man identified as Pramod Giddhi, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, had told villagers that he had killed a woman and two children and buried them near the river. A police team reached the spot, where they found loose, raised sand near the riverbank. Upon clearing the surface, the team recovered the bodies of a boy aged about six and a girl around eleven. The body of a woman, approximately 36 years old, was found a short distance away in the nearby forest. The identities of the deceased were confirmed by family members and local villagers. A case of unnatural death was initially registered, but investigators now believe it to be a case of homicide. “Prima facie, this appears to be a case of murder,” Senior Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh said. “Since the suspect Pramod Giddhi made the disclosure in front of villagers and has been absconding since the incident, he is currently considered the main suspect. However, we are thoroughly examining all possible angles. A final conclusion will emerge only after the investigation is complete.” Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to trace the absconding suspect.
