 Adopting the e-summons system, the District and Sessions Court, Durg will now start serving summons and warrants through electronic mode. The summons and warrants will be received digitally by the police station through the facility and the Moharrirs posted in District Court will be able to share summons and warrants with the police stations in just a single click through ICJS system. Meanwhile the personnel of the police station will execute the same by visiting the person addressed and update the execution report and photo online. Notably, the details of execution of summons and warrants will be updated online and the judicial officers will be able to check the same anytime. High Court, Ramesh Sinha had on June 25 inaugurated the e-summon facility while on the very next day on June 26, Principal District Judge at Durg organized a training for Court Moharrirs to apprise them with the innovation. Principal District Judge while addressing the Moharrirs and Police Constables said that the new arrangement will make the judicial proceedings faster and transparent and it depicts the commitment of courts to connect with E Court Mission Mode Project and Digital India. He said that it will save time of litigants and courts as well.
