Vardhaman Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Nagpur will celebrate its Silver Jubilee on June 28 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Nagpur. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief guest of the function while Minister of State for Cooperation Pankaj Bhoyar, and former Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti will be the special guests.
Addressing a press conference, Vardhaman Urban Bank’s Chairman Anil Parikh said that the bank has achieved many milestones since its inception on October 11, 1999, under the leadership of late Shaktikumar Sancheti.
The bank’s share capital has grown from
Rs 40 lakh to Rs 7.40 crore, and the number of shareholders has increased from 3,000 to 8500.
As on March 31, 2025, the bank’s total deposits stand at approximately Rs 250 crore and total loans at Rs 151 crore. The bank has also achieved a zero net NPA (Non-Performing Asset) and has been consistently profitable since its inception.
Prominent personalities present at the press conference included bank’s Vice Chairman Ashwin Shah, and directors Atul Kotecha, Dilip Ranka, Rajan Daddha, Hitesh Sankhlecha, Hemant Lodha, and Ashish Doshi.
