Impressed by the Chhattisgarh Government’s Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy–2025 and the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, 13 Naxalites—including 10 carrying a cumulative cash reward of Rs 23 lakh—surrendered before senior officials in Bijapur. The surrender took place in the presence of CRPF DIG B S Negi, SP Dr Jitendra Kumar Yadav, 85th Battalion CRPF Commandant Sunil Kumar Rahi, ASP Mayank Gurjar,ASP (Ops) Ulandan Yark, DSP Ghanshyam Kamde, SDO (P) Tileshwar Yadav and DSP DRG Vineet Sahu.
 
The operation was the outcome of coordinated efforts by the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters, Special Task Force (STF), Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), and the CRPF. According to police, the surrendered Naxalites include Deve Muchaki, Company No-2 member (reward Rs 8 lakh);Kosa Oyam, ACM under Dhamtari-Nuapada-Gariaband Division (reward Rs 5 lakh); Kosi Podiyam, President, Biriyabhumi RPC KAMS (reward Rs 2 lakh) and Sammi Semla,
 
PLGA Platoon No-16, Indravati Area Committee (reward Rs 1 lakh). The Niyad Nella Nar scheme has been instrumental in promoting peace and development in Naxal-affected areas. It provides benefits such as rehabilitation, education, and employment to surrendered Maoists, along with relief to civilians affected by Naxal violence.
