“The Constitution Preamble Park in the premises of RTMNU’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law will not only make citizens aware about the constitutional values enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution, but also serve as a powerful inspiration, allowing every visitor to reflect upon the immense contribution of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar,” said Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan Gavai, while speaking at the inauguration of country’s first Constitution Preamble Park at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s (RTMNU) Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law on Saturday. CJI Bhushan Gavai inaugurated the Constitution Preamble Park and life-size statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The park features murals representing constitutional values like Fraternity, Equality, Liberty, Justice, Republic, Democracy, Secularism, and Socialism. Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware, Incharge Vice Chancellor, RTMNU, made the introductory remark, while Dr Ravishankar Mor, Principal, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law proposed a vote of thanks. The programme also featured the felicitation of judges present during the programme at the hands of CJI Bhushan Gavai. “Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar combined the global values and eternal Indian values in the creation of the Indian Constitution, with the Preamble serving as its very essence,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while speaking at the inauguration of the Constitution Preamble Park at RTMNU’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law. “If citizens of the country embrace the values enshrined in the Preamble, 90 per cent of the nation’s problems would be permanently resolved,” he added. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law, I feel proud about the Constitution Preamble Park in the premises as it will help spread the values enshrined in Indian Constitution not only to Law students but to citizens in general,” said Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. Union Minister Gadkari also said that the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University had produced a Prime Minister of the country, and the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law had given numerous Chief Justices to the Supreme Court of India. Construction of country’s first Constitution Preamble Park is a matter of pride for the city.
