The Hanumanganj Police successfully rescued a

10-year-old boy, Pinku, who went missing from his home in Ibrahimganj on Friday night. The boy’s mother, Puja Chaurasia, reported the incident to the police, filing a complaint of abduction against unidentified individuals after her son failed to return home. According to police, Pinku, a fifth-grade student, left his home around 9:30 pm on Friday to buy biscuits from a nearby shop.

When he did not return, his worried mother alerted the authorities. Acting swiftly, the Hanumanganj police launched a search operation Pinku sleeping under a bridge in the area. He was immediately taken into protective custody and brought to the police station, where he was safely reunited with his mother. Inspector Awadhesh Bhadauriya, in-charge of Hanumanganj police station, revealed that Pinku had gone to the shop as intended but got distracted by a religious procession passing through the area.

The boy followed the procession, which led him far from home, and he eventually lost his way. Unable to find his way back, he ended up under the bridge where the police located him.
