Prashant Mohota, Managing Director of Gimatex Industries Limited and one of the leading entrepreneurs of the region, on Saturday unanimously elected President of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) for next term of one year. Mohota and his new team of office-bearers were elected at the 61st annual general body meeting of the association held here in the city. Earlier, Mohota has held the posts of Secretary and Vice President of the association and Chairman of Energy Cell of VIA. He is also associated with various other associations.

 

The other team members of the association are:- Vishal Agrawal - Immediate Past President; Ashish Doshi - Vice President; Pratik Tapadia - Vice President; Naresh Jakhotia - Vice President; Rakesh Surana - Treasurer; and Kaushal Mohta - Secretary. The new members of the executive committee are Atul Pande, Rohit Bajaj, Suresh Rathi, Satyanarayan Nuwal,

Soon after assuming the charge, Prashant Mohota said that VIA has unveiled a strategic framework aimed at accelerating Vidarbha’s industrial growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

 

“We will actively shape policy environments and facilitate investments, ensuring Vidarbha becomes an attractive hub for domestic and international investors,” he said. Under his leadership, VIA planed extensive industry-academia collaborations to enhance skill development and innovation. It will introduce a diverse portfolio of purposeful events, seminars, and workshops designed to benefit large corporations and MSMEs alike. “Through structured member engagement and communication channels, VIA remains committed to empowering its members by delivering consistent, tangible value,” he added.
