In a horrifying incident, a young man slit the throat of a nursing student and killed her in Narsinghpur District Hospital at 3 pm on Friday. She had come to the hospital for training. A young man wearing a black shirt attacked her outside the emergency ward.
The student has been identified as Sandhya Chaudhary (18), daughter of Hiralal Chaudhary, who lives in Patel ward lane on Sankal Road.
After the attack, the accused fled. Police took him into custody at night. The accused has been identified as Abhishek Koshti.
On receiving the news of the student’s murder, the family members who reached the hospital blocked the road there. Their demand is that they will not lift the blockade until they see the accused. They said that the accused should be arrested and hanged. His house should also be demolished.
After persuasion of ASP, Sandeep Bhuria, the family members blocked the road again. Their demand was that the policemen posted at the hospital post should be removed. The doctor posted in the emergency ward is also accused of closing the gates of the ward when the girl was being attacked, he should also be removed with immediate effect.
Police assured that they will take the case to the fast track court.
According to ASP Sandeep Bhuria, a youth named Abhishek Koshti murdered a student named Sandhya by slitting her throat with a knife. The accused is in custody. After investigation, efforts will be made to get strictest punishment for the accused. He said that efforts will be made to take the case to fast track court.
Reason behind the murder has not been revealed yet. The security system of the hospital will also be investigated, action will be taken against those responsible.
