With the news of State President Election Observer Dharmendra Pradhan arriving in State capital Bhopal on Monday, once again discussion over the next chief has got momentum in organisation and political corridors.
Contenders are already in talks with the party’s who’s who and engaged in lobbying, but a look at the past developments and high command’s decisions in last few years, suggest that a woman from underprivileged background may be a surprise pick to the State President’s post.
A section of veteran leaders did not deny the possibility of a woman from underprivileged background could lead the State BJP. In January, BJP had announced the names of the presidents of all the organisational districts nine times. After the elections of booth committee, divisional president and district presidents, suspense over the State President is still persists. Names of Hemant Khandelwal, MP Faggan Singh Kulaste from Mandla Lok Sabha constituency, importantly he is the
National President of Scheduled Tribes Cell, Scheduled Caste senior leader Lal Singh Arya, Sumer Singh Solanki, a young tribal face, from Bhopal-Rameshwar Sharma, Dewas MP Mahendra Solanki are also in race.
Due to various reasons,
the final process of announcement of the name of the BJP State President is getting delayed. Since the elections in other states and by-elections in the State was over and
State President Election Observer Dharmendra Pradhan from center will visit Bhopal on Monday, as the
party sources disclosed, it seems that soon the BJP will have its State President.
