IN OBSERVANCE of International MSME Day, celebrated annually on June 27, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Nagpur Regional Office, conducted an outreach programme for MSME entrepreneurs on June 25, 2025, at Hotel Grand Mehfil, Amravati. The event was part of MSME Week 2025 (June 23–27), with a special emphasis on promoting women entrepreneurs.
The programme aimed to strengthen inclusive financial policies and enhance MSMEs’ access to formal credit systems.
Anjana Shyamnath, Deputy General Manager, Financial Inclusion and Development Department, RBI, presided over the meeting. Shashi Ranjan, DGM, SBI, Mahesh Dange, DGM, Bank of Maharashtra, Vijay Awadhane, Deputy Director of Tourism (GoM), Amravati, and President of Amravati Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the event.
Over 120 MSME entrepreneurs and representatives from leading banks, NABARD, and KVIB attended the programme. Government officials underscored the MSME sector’s vital role in contributing nearly 30 per cent to India’s GDP and its importance in employment generation and regional growth. Senior bankers highlighted institutional initiatives to support MSMEs and commended the RBI for its inclusive approach.
