Samiksha, Ishwari win bronze medals

 

ANANT Deshmukh won a gold medal in the 6th (U-17) Junior Boys and Girls Boxing Championship 2025 held at SAI (NCOE) National Centre of Excellence Rohtak (Haryana). Anant’s gold medal came in the (63-66 kg) category. Samiksha Singh (50-52 kg) and Ishwari Yewale (75 kg) returned with a bronze medal each in their respective categories.

 

Anant won the gold by defeating Haryana’s Naitik 5-0 in the final match. All the medal winners have secured their places for the international camp cum tournament to be held in China from August 15 to 30. Anant and Samiksha had recently represented India in the International Asian (U-17) Boxing Championship held in Jordan. Anant is training under the guidance of Ganesh Purohit at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur, Nagpur. Samiksha is training under the guidance of coach Neetu at Delhi Sports School in Delhi. Ishwari Yewale gets training under the watchful eyes of Tambe at Reshimbagh, Nagpur.
