Team of foresters caught three suspects with poaching weapons and other stuffs in the protected forest area of Kanha Tiger Reserve. The accused were apprehended when they entered the restricted forest area with the intention of poaching the wildlife. It may be noted that under the guidance of Field Director, Ravindra Mani Tripathi, Puneet Goyal, Deputy Director and Ajay Singh Thakur, Assistant Director, Halon Zone of Kanha Tiger Reserve, a special operation was carried out in the protected area of Bhaisanghat Range.
 
Following orders from Kailash Bamnia, Range Officer of Bhaisanghat, a team was formed and a raid was conducted in Compartment No. 235 near Raunda Anicut. During the operation, three men were apprehended for engaging in illegal activities within the reserve.
 
The arrested have been identified as Santlal Punwa Taram (35), a resident of Dongariya; Suklal Ramsingh Dhurve (50), a resident of Dongariya, and Nainsingh Kunna Singh Taram (30), a resident of Dongariya, Jaitpuri, Baihar in Balaghat district. In their search, forest team seized 3 axes with handles, a bag filled with bark from the Tinsa tree, approximately 1 kg of illegally caught fish, a steel container and a mosquito net. Kanha Tiger Reserve administration has registered a case against the accused under Sections 27, 31, 32, 35(6) read with 35(8), 39, 51, and 52 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 (as amended in 2006). The accused were presented before the Court of Baihar, District Balaghat. The operation was conducted with the active involvement of Kailash Bamnia, Range Officer, Bhaisanghat, Gurudayal Sahu, Range Officer, Garhi Buffer, Sunasingh Yadav, Acting Forester, Jaysingh Parte, Acting Forester, Rajesh Kumar Tekam, Forest Guard, Netansingh Dhurve, Permanent Staff, Neelsingh Kushare, Casual Security Worker and other forest personnel who played a crucial role in the successful execution of the action.
