AIIMS, Bhopal warns public against rising cyber fraud; fake accounts targeting ED

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal has issued a public alert regarding the increasing incidence of cyber fraud on social media platforms.
Recently, attempts were made to defraud individuals using a fake Facebook account created in the name of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director, Professor (Dr) Ajay Singh.

Recently, attempts were made to defraud individuals using a fake Facebook account created in the name of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director, Professor (Dr) Ajay Singh.
Professor Singh stated that this is not the first instance of his name being misused. There have been previous occasions where similar fake profiles were created to target people. Expressing concern over the escalating number of cybercrimes, he emphasized that cyber security is no longer merely a technical issue but has become a shared responsibility of every citizen.
AIIMS Bhopal has urged citizens to remain vigilant against any suspicious profiles on social media and to refrain from engaging in any financial transactions without proper verification. Scammers are not only exploiting financial vulnerabilities through fake accounts but are also misusing emotional and social connections.
