Girls Attacked and Molested at Raipur’s Mahadev Ghat: A disturbing incident unfolded Wednesday night in the Mahadev Ghat area under the DD Nagar police station limits, where a group of miscreants reportedly molested and brutally attacked girls returning from a birthday party. When the victims resisted, one of the assailants allegedly used a sharp weapon to cut a girl’s finger before the attackers fled the scene.

The victimized girls, hailing from Bilaspur and Korba districts, were in Raipur to attend a birthday celebration and were returning from Mahadev Ghat at night when the assault occurred. A group of youths surrounded them on the road and began molesting them. Upon their protest, the assailants allegedly resorted to kicks and punches, culminating in one girl sustaining a cut finger from a sharp object. The DD Nagar police station became active. However, according to Purani Basti police, while the injured girls are currently receiving medical treatment, a formal written complaint has not yet been lodged by the victims’ side. Authorities have stated that as soon as a complaint is officially received, they will proceed with identifying the accused and taking strict legal action.
