Truckload of waste removed from Kaliyasot river, taken to disposal site

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) is continuing its efforts to clean water bodies under the ongoing ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ (Water Ganga Conservation Campaign). As a part of this initiative, on Sunday, the Kaliyasot River near Amarnath Colony in Ward 80, Zone 18, underwent a thorough clean-up. The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from both the BMC’s sanitation staff and students. Approximately a dozen sanitation workers from the Municipal Corporation, along with students, actively cleaned the river and its surroundings near the bridge.

During this drive, one truckload of waste was collected and promptly transported to the disposal site. This endeavor is a direct response to the state government’s directives to maintain the cleanliness of ponds, rivers, and other water sources.
