On the call of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, ‘Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan’ is being run across the State. Under this campaign, a plantation programme was organised in the city by Municipal Corporation Katni, on Sunday.

Mayor Preeti Sanjeev Suri planted neem and Ashoka saplings in Shivdham Udyan and Muktidham premises located in Dr Zakir Hussain Ward. Mayor in Council members Dr Ramesh Soni, Surendra Gupta, Govind Chawla, local corporator Rekha Sanjay Tiwari, Shakuntala Soni, social worker Kamal Kewat, Neelima Jha and large number of local citizens were present in the programme. During the programme, Mayor Suri appealed to the people to make plantation as their habit. She instructed the staff of the concerning department to take proper care of the planted saplings.
