DEPUTY Director Sports and Youth Services (DDSYS) football teams stamped their authority on football turf as they clinched twin titles in the Young Diamond Football League organised by XcitePlay. The tournament was played at KT Nagar Turf in Friends Colony. The Under-9 kids and Under-13 boys ruled the roost as they claimed the crowns in their respective age groups. In the Under-9 age group, they played 10 matches in the league round and qualified for the final with some superlative performance. In the U-9 summit clash, DDSYS edged past hosts XcitePlay to clinch the title. Hashir Imran and Viraj Patil were the goal getters for the winning side.

 

The seniors (U-13) too showed their agility and combination to win the trophy. They beat Sankalp Football Academy in an exciting final which went into the tie-breaker. Athang Bagde, Shlok Thakre, Suyash Thakur and Ayush Shahu scored goals in the shoot-out to take home the glittering trophy. Rahul Bante was the coach of Under-13 team while Rohit Saudaghar coached Under-9 boys squad. The U-13 team: Avaneesh Mahajan, Ayush Shahu, Joshua Michael, Ridit Karadbhajne, Shlok Thakre, Suyash Thakur, Alok Sukhalkar, Arjun Shrivastava, Athang Bagde, Arnav Bhagadkar. U-19: Ayaan Ahmed, Hashir Imran, Naivik Yeolekar, Viraj Patil, Zain Mirza, Abihiraj Baghel, Arhant Tembhurne, Naksh Yeolekar, Contrate Anthony.
