BJYM accused the former Dean of Medical College of deliberately spreading confusion and anxiety among public without any reliable evidence

Members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Wednesday visited Omti Police Station to lodge a complaint against Dr Geeta Guin, former Dean of Netaji Subhash Chandar Bose Medical College, Jabalpur for allegedly making objectionable remarks on social media. They have demanded the police to register an FIR against her for spreading misinformation and insulting the people of Jabalpur. Senior office-bearers of BJYM said Dr Guin, who had long been associated with the Medical College, allegedly posted unfounded claims regarding the displacement of the Medical University. They accused her of deliberately spreading confusion and anxiety among public without any reliable evidence.

The members further alleged that Dr. Guin, frustrated with ongoing development projects such as the construction of a new zoo in the city, made derogatory comments by referring to the citizens of Jabalpur as “animals” in her posts. They said her statements have crossed all limits of decency. Calling the people of this city animals is not only offensive but reflects her personal frustration. If such people are not held accountable, they will continue to spread misleading and harmful narratives. Terming the people of Jabalpur as wise and aware, BJYM members said that the public understands the intent behind such remarks. The members submitted detailed evidence and urged the police to register an FIR and initiate strict legal action against Dr Guin.
