Free bicycles were distributed to school girls under Government scheme
Hundreds of school girls from across the city received bicycles on Thursday under the State Government’s Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme, in a special programme held at Kamla Nehru Sandipani Kanya Vidyalaya. The scheme, aimed at promoting access to education and ensuring timely school attendance, continues to benefit thousands of students, especially those living in remote and underserved areas.
During the event, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reiterated the Government’s commitment to providing equal educational opportunities to all children, especially girls. He stated, “The State Government is committed to ensure that no student is deprived of education due to lack of resources. Through the Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme, students will become self-reliant, save time, and their attendance will also improve.”
He further encouraged the students to study with dedication and make full use of the opportunity provided to them. “Wishing you all a bright future. Your hard work and commitment will shape not only your destiny but also the future of the nation,” he added. The Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme, a flagship initiative of the Madhya Pradesh Government, aims to bridge the gap in school accessibility by providing free bicycles to students from economically weaker backgrounds, thereby reducing dropout rates and boosting
school attendance. As the students received their bicycles, the joy was clearly visible on their faces.
The students extended heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav for this meaningful and empowering initiative that is helping shape a more inclusive and accessible educational environment in the State.
