Agriculture officials issue show cause to 3 for irregularities :
Agriculture officials while conducting inspection at five fertiliser selling establishments, issued show cause notice to three for irregularities.
With the aim of ensuring availability of quality fertilizers and pesticides to farmers during Kharif season, agriculture officials conducted a surprise inspection at five selling establishments under Patan block. These establishments include Khushi Traders and Mangal Traders at Benikheda, Shri Jagdamba Krishi Kendra and Jai Mata Agro at Udana and Shriram Fertilizer on Udana Road.
During inspection conducted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Patan, the POS machine was not found in working condition in Khushi Traders. Despite 23 tonnes of urea was recorded in the POS machine, physically it was zero at the establishment. Stock book, bill book and license display board were also not presented by this establishment.
Due to these irregularities, a show cause notice was issued to the fertilizer seller and a recommendation was made to the Deputy Director Agriculture to suspend the fertilizer license of the establishment.
All the documents were found well maintained at Shri Jagdamba Krishi Kendra, however, a show cause notice was issued to the seller due to difference in the quantity of fertilizer and physical stock found in the POS machine. The fertilizer seller informed the agriculture officers about the server problem in the POS and showed the list of distributed fertilizers and Aadhar cards of the farmers. The agriculture officers gave instructions to match the stock in the POS and submit the POS slip along with the reply.
During inspection at Jai Mata Agro, the agriculture officers found expired pesticides of many companies there.
The expiry year 2024 was changed through pen to 2028 in 12 bottles of 150 grams of Zojil (Amidchloropid) by the establishment. Due to these irregularities, the Deputy Director of Agriculture was recommended to suspend the license of this establishment and instructions were given to separate the expired pesticides.
During inspection at Mangal
Traders and Shriram Fertilizer, complete matching of fertilizer-pesticide was found and all the documents were found to be well organized and complete. Fertilizer Inspector and Senior Agriculture Development Officer Patan, Pankaj Srivastava was also present during inspection. Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Patan Dr. Indira Tripathi appealed the farmers to buy pesticides only after checking the expiry date, take proper bills after purchasing from registered sellers and inform the Agriculture Department immediately if any kind of irregularity is found, so that immediate action can be taken against the guilty persons.
