Shooting Star Shambhavi clinches gold in Dehradun

 

 

 

Jabalpur’s rising shooting star Shambhavi Singh Chandel, has clinched the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Youth Women category at the 0135 India Open Shooting Competition, held in Dehradun. Representing Sanskardhani, Shambhavi delivered an impressive performance, scoring 367 points in her event.

 

This competition serves as a pre-national level event, offering top-performing shooters a chance to qualify for the upcoming National Shooting Championships. This is Shambhavi’s second medal at the pre-national level. Earlier in April, she secured a bronze medal at a competition held in Mhow. A student of Joy Senior Secondary School, Shambhavi continues to excel both academically and in sports. She is being trained at Gun for Glory Shooting Academy Jabalpur under the guidance of senior coach Nishant Nathwani, assistant coach Shakti Chakravarty and junior coach Sangeeta Pasi.
