JMC constructing garbage transfer stations at accessible, strategic locations

 

 

 

In a move to bring broad changes to Jabalpur’s sanitation system and enhance door-to-door waste collection, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is constructing garbage transfer stations at various accessible and strategic locations across the city. Commissioner Preeti Yadav inspected the proposed site for a garbage transfer station at Adhartal. During the inspection, MLA Rohani acknowledged the initiative and emphasised the need for beautification in the surrounding areas, especially around the nearby lake. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, several garbage transfer stations are being established to facilitate faster and more efficient waste collection and disposal. She added that similar stations will also be built in suburban areas to extend the benefits of cleanliness to all residents. She further stated that beautification work will also be carried out on approach roads and around the Adhartal lake to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for commuters and local citizens.
