The students of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) autonomous departments and affiliate colleges can now access information related to student development, employment, training, and internship opportunities with just a click. The university’s official student mobile app is now available on the Google Play Store. Through this app, students can easily explore various student welfare schemes, internship programs, training modules, and job opportunities.

The initiative to develop this mobile app was conceptualised by Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware (IAS) and implemented through the University’s Student Development Department. The mobile app serves as a central platform to disseminate information about various schemes from the Student Development and Training and Placement Cell directly to students.

It also allows corporate companies to upload details about their job vacancies, internship slots, and training opportunities directly through a link available on the university’s website. This helps create a bridge between companies seeking skilled human resources and students looking for career opportunities. The app was officially launched on April 14, 2025, on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, during a program held at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law.

The development of this app was initiated following a request made by members during the senate meeting held on March 21, 2025. In response, Vice-Chancellor Dr Madhavi Khode Chaware instructed the Student Development Department to proceed with creating the app. Aimed at providing all essential student-related information at one place, the app was developed within just three weeks.

Along with student development content, it also integrates resources from the Training and Placement Cell. The app is now live on the Google Play Store under the name ‘RTMNU Student Development’ and will soon be available for iOS users as well. Vice-Chancellor Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Subhash Kondawar, Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase, Director of Student Development Dr Vijay Khandal and Training and Placement Officer Dr Bhushan Mahajan have jointly appealed to students to download and avail benefits of the app.
