CM in Dubai: Indori entrepreneurs eye big MP investments

Over Rs 1,100 crore in proposals made; focus on sustainability, education, and senior citizens’ care 
 
On the first day of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav’s visit to Dubai, the Indian expatriate community, particularly entrepreneurs with ties to Indore, extended a warm welcome. Over 25 CEOs attended a special event organised by the Indori International Business Network (IIBN), where more than 15 prominent entrepreneurs presented proposals indicating their interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh. IIBN is currently an established licensed community in the UAE with over 750 members, including professionals from various sectors. IIBN members briefed Chief Minister Dr Yadav in detail regarding the investment proposals.
 
Ajay Kasliwal, Prem Bhatia, Anju Bhatia, Nilesh Jain, Manoj Jharia, Naseer Khan, and Amit Srinivas, all core committee members of IIBN, stated that Indori expatriates residing in the UAE are highly enthusiastic about investment opportunities and have full faith in the guidance and cooperation of the State Government. Proposals for Sustainable City and Senior Citizens’ Care On this occasion, CA Praveen Mehta, based in Dubai, proposed a private sector project costing Rs 100 crore for senior citizen care and an investment of approximately Rs 1000 crore for a zero-carbon emission sustainable city. Chief Minister Dr Yadav welcomed these proposals, stating that the state government is also running special programmes for the welfare of senior citizens whose children are abroad. “If your children are away, we are your family,” he affirmed.
 
The Chief Minister informed that the Health Department and concerned Collectors are actively working for the care of these senior citizens. During the event, Anju Bhatia, CEO of Dubai-based Future Wise Education, proposed the establishment of foreign university campuses in Madhya Pradesh under the National Education Policy 2020. She stated that this would provide students in the state with the opportunity to obtain international degrees within their home state. Prem Bhatia mentioned that his was one of the initial families to move from Indore to Dubai, and thanks to their efforts, over 400 families are now successfully employed in the UAE.
