Photo and video journalism honours went to Satish Raut of ‘The Hitavada’
 
 
The Adya Patrakar Devarshi Narada Patrakarita Samman Samaroh 2025 was held with great enthusiasm and reverence at Vanamati Sabhagruha, this evening. Organised by the Vishva Sanvad Kendra, the annual event is dedicated to honouring excellence in journalism while paying tributes to the ideals of the ancient sage and communicator, Devarshi Narada. Veteran journalist Richa Aniruddh was the chief guest of the function who was available through a zoom call, and the keynote address was delivered by thinker, writer and editor of Pragya Pravah Sadanand Sapre. Both dignitaries praised the role of media in shaping informed societies and stressed the need for responsible journalism rooted in truth and ethics. Felicitations were presented across various categories.
 
In print media, Yogesh Pande of Lokmat was honoured, while Yogendra Tiwari of India TV received recognition for his contribution to electronic media. Ashish Bharatvanshi was acknowledged for his influence in social media journalism. Photo and video journalism honours went to Satish Raut of ‘The Hitavada’, while podcast/web journalism awards were presented to Varun Jagnade of Nagpur News. Students pursuing media studies were also recognised. Awards were presented to Aishwarya Shinde (DNC Nagpur), Vedika Mishra (MGAHV), and Priyanshu Chaudhary (RTMNU) for their promising contributions to the field. Notably, RJ Pallavi, Narendra Shelke (Sakal), and environment journalist Rakhi Chauhan of Lokmat Samachar were also felicitated. The selection committee included Sudhir Pathak (Chair), Manjusha Joshi (Media Advertising), RJs Preeti and Abhishek, and several senior journalists and academics. Organisers Sudhir Pathak, Sanjay Gulve, and Brajesh Manas ensured the smooth execution of the programme. The ceremony was a resounding success and stood as a testament to the enduring value of journalism committed to public service and truth.
