Continuing a rigorous campaign ‘Combing Operation’ against absconding criminals and warrantees, police have executed total 313 pending warrants in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay (IPS) police are conducting a special night combing campaign under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Anand Kaladgi (IPS), Additional SP (Zone-2), Samar Verma, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, CSPs, DSPs and SDOPs to apprehend the absconding warrantees and taking preventive action against listed criminals. During the night combing, police teams from urban and rural police stations comprised of police officers led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals 9 pm on Saturday to 2:30 am on Sunday.
 
Police have apprehended 104 non-bailable, 110 bailable warrantees and 99 arrest warrantees who were absconding since a long time. Similarly, in the random checking of suspicious elements, police nabbed total 24 accused were apprehended with 67-litres country-made liquor and 215 quarters of country-made and English liquor. Besides this, police teams conducted random search and inquiry about suspected persons roaming in the city, railway stations, bus stands and waiting areas. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
