FOUR players from Nagpur have been selected in the Indian Strengthlifiting team which will participate in the 12th World Strengthlifting and Incline Bench Press Championship in Pattaya, Thailand from July 16. The selected athletes from Nagpur include Ujjwal Agarkar (Junior Men’s 76kg category), Mansi Shahu (Junior women’s 52kg category), Anushka Thengre (60kg category) while Shashank Pardhi will be representing (Senior men’s 52kg category). Sangita Dhole (Masters women 40+ weight category) from Washim, presently serving in Police Department, is the other player from Maharashtra.

 

Nagpur’s divyang player Ammol Walke will be particiapting in the 80kg group. Saurabh Rangari from Nagpur is appointed as technical officer for the championship. Selected players were congratulated by Maharashtra Strengthlifting Association; Pramod Walmandare and Baba Daware (Patrons), Hemant Dongaonkar (President), Kishor Bagde (Vice President), Anand Dabre (Secretary), Dr Shrikant Warankar, Sachin Mathne, Laxmikant Meshram, Chandrashekhar Dhabale, Shreyas Rangari and other members.
