A case of negligence of 108 Ambulance service has come to light in Narsinghpur district. When 26-year-old Aarti Malah
of Kumhari village experienced labour pain, her family called
an Ambulance. She was brought to the main road in the
Sarpanch’s vehicle.
There was only one and a half feet of water on the Rapta bridge built on Bagha drain. Two-wheelers and people were crossing the bridge easily. The ambulance workers stopped before
the bridge. They refused to
go further citing the flow of
water.
They did not even get down from the vehicle to help the woman.
Aarti’s two sisters were forced to support her and help her cross the drain on foot. Only after this she could be taken to the district hospital. People are posting the video of the incident on social media. The officer said - this is insensitivity, investigation will be done.
District Manager of 108 Ambulance Service, Vijay Raghuvanshi said that this is insensitivity. The vehicle could have gone there. Even if the vehicle could not go, the employees should have helped the woman. He said that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against the employees.
