Dheer Agrawal scored a match high of 18 points as Nagpur Amateur Sporting Association (NASA) defeated Pawanbhoomi Krida Mandal (PKM) to move up in the ongoing 25th Prakash Rajurkar Memorial Inter-Club Junior District Basketball Championship organised by Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) at their Shankar Nagar court.
In a close encounter NASA got the better of PKM 32-27 with Agrawal scoring maximum 18 points while Ishan G added 10 to the team’s winning cause.
For PKM, Ritvij’s 10 points helped them reduce the margin of defeat.
The quarterwise score was 3-8, 9-2, 8-10, 12-7.
In another match in the boys section, Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana stunned hosts Dharampeth Krida Mandal’s ‘B’ team.
SNG’s Anirudh Mundhada scored 10 points and Guraansh Sethi added eight as they scored a 48-11 one-sided victory.
The quarterwise score was 18-2, 14-3, 11-2, 5-4.
For DKM-B, Arnav Thugaonkar (7) was the main scorer.
In girls category, Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) defeated PBG 53-27. Mrunmayee Sathe (19) and Nishita Bakre (16) were the main scorers for the winners.
For, PBG Shravani Selokar (19) made bulk of the scoring, The quarterwise score was 13-14, 10-4, 11-5, 19-4.
