Safety kits, medicines distributed to Swachhagrahis of 81 villages

 

 

 

A meeting of Swachhagrahi Self Help Group was organized in the Janpad Panchayat Durg Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Bajrang Dubey. About 150 Swachhagrahis from 81 villages were present in the meeting. While orienting the members of the Swachhagrahi group collecting garbage from door to door under solid waste management in the Gram Panchayats, essential medicine kits were distributed with the help of the Health Department, which will be used by the Swachhagrahis as first aid. Pitambar Yadav, Assistant Project Officer, District Panchayat Durg discussed the challenges being faced at the village level.

 

The Swachhagrahis informed that the work of door-to-door garbage collection is being done for 1 day in 36 villages, 2 days in 23 villages, 3 days in 4 villages, 6 days in 4 villages and 7 days in 14 villages. In some Gram Panchayats, the honorarium has not been given by the Gram Panchayat for 5 to 6 months, on which Shri Bajrang Dubey has taken immediate action and has given instructions to pay the pending honorarium immediately. The Swachhagrahis demanded to repair the rickshaws from time to time, which was directed by Bajrang Dubey and it was ordered to get the repairs done through the Gram Panchayat and to purchase new rickshaws from the 15th Finance as per the requirement.

 

The present secretaries have been instructed to start utensils bank in all the Gram Panchayats. Citizen feedback is being done under Swachh Survekshan Gramin 2025. In which 6,706 in Durg District Panchayat, 12,121 in Dhamdha and 8,740 in Patan, thus a total of 27,567 citizen feedback surveys have been done through mobile app in the rural areas. Instructions have been given to motivate the villagers to give maximum feedback. Verification of Swachh Survekshan Gramin will be done by the agency designated by the Government of India.
