In a significant operation, Bhopal Police have detained Abdul Kalam, a suspected Bangladeshi national, from the Budhwara area. Abdul Kalam had been living covertly for several years among the transgender community under the name ‘Neha’ and had even obtained a forged identity card under this name. Police have taken him into custody and seized the fraudulent documents from his possession. According to high-ranking officials, the accused has strong links to Bangladesh. Sources indicate that the suspected Bangladeshi national, Abdul Kalam, was residing in the Budhwara area as ‘Neha’, and was known by this name to local residents.
 
During the investigation, police found forged identity cards under the name ‘Neha’ in his possession, which have been confiscated. Currently, Abdul Kalam is being held under police protection and is undergoing confidential interrogation. Police are working to ascertain how long he has been living in Bhopal, whether he was involved in any suspicious activities, and if there are any criminal cases registered against him. Police suspect he might also be a Bangladeshi spy, prompting a thorough investigation into his entire background. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, the Bhopal Police Commissioner, Harinarayanchari Mishra said, “The matter is under process. We have received a tip-off regarding the person. Action has been taken, and further proceedings are underway in the court.”
