PARMOD, an employee of AG (Audit)-II, Maharashtra, Nagpur has been selected in the 20-member Indian men’s A squad for an exposure tour to Europe which will feature eight matches from July 8-20. Parmod, who hails from Narwana district in Haryana, was part of the 54-member probable picked by Hockey India in the month of April. The India A team will play two matches against France, Ireland and the Netherlands along with one game each against England and Belgium. A robust defender, Parmod has a vast experience and has played Junior Nationals at Bhopal in 2017 and Aurangabad in 2018.
 
He won silver medal at the South Africa Launch Tournament in 2019. Parmod, 25, made his senior grade at the Chennai Nationals in 2019 and also played the All India Universities at Gwalior in 2019 where he won the gold medal. He has also represented the CAG team in the 2nd Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship in 2022 held at New Delhi and at Bengaluru the next year. Parmod has also won a silver medal at the 15th Hockey India Senior National Championship held at Jhansi in April 2025. He is a regular member of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) team since 2022. The team is coached by Indian national team’s assistant coach Shivendra Singh. India A will take on Ireland in their first match on July 8.
