Talking to mediapersons on Sunday after the meeting his son, Baghel said, “My son is being unnecessarily implicated in the alleged liquor scam.

We will continue to fight.” Former Chief Minister Baghel said that after my son Chaitanya’s arrest, the first call had come from Rahul Gandhi and then from Priyanka Gandhi. After meeting his son, he said that if Chaitanya’s grandfather was alive today, he would have been happy because he has been going to jail on many issues.

He alleged that those, who have recorded their statements are also being pressurised to take his and his son’s names. It may be mentioned that Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, was arrested on July 18 by ED on charges of money laundering in connection with the alleged Rs 2,161-crore liquor scam.
