EMBEA celebrates 56th Banks Nationalisation Day

 

 

EASTERN Maharashtra Bank Employees Association (EMBEA) affiliated to AIBEA celebrated the 56th Anniversary of Banks Nationalisation on July 19, 2025 at Parvana Bhavan, Kingsway, Nagpur with intense enthusiasm. To mark the occasion an oration programme by Sudhakar Atre, eminent speaker, columnist and closely associated with banking movement was organised.

 

Suresh Bhobhate, General Secretary of EMBEA presented the history and necessity of nationalisation of all private banks. Sudhakar Atre and D S Buche, Managing Trustee of H L Parwana Memorial Trust were honoured by Suresh Bobhate, General Secretary and Jaiwant Gurway Chairman of EMBEA respectively. S P Tiwari, President of EMBEA stated that the role of public sector banks in nation-building should be showcased and safeguard from privatisation.
