Jhulelal Institute of Technology (JIT), marked a significant milestone with the installation of its ACM Student Chapter, ushering in a new era of innovation and collaboration in the field of computing. Suhas Katulwar, Senior Technical Project Manager at Persistent Systems and Executive Member of ACM Nagpur Professional Chapter Committee, was the chief guest. Dr Uma Patel Thakur, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, emphasized the importance of global platforms like ACM in nurturing students’ skills and keeping them aligned with industry trends. Principal Dr Narendra Bawane lauded the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate.

 

Katulwar shared valuable insights from his professional journey, encouraging students to stay curious, adopt lifelong learning, and engage in real-world problem-solving. Walay Shelke, Chairperson of the newly installed ACM Chapter, presented the chapter’s vision. Mahesh Sadhwani, Chairman, SSCT; Virendra Kukreja, Secretary, SSCT; Dr Hemant Asrani, Director Admin, JIT; Pramod Pampatwar, Director Technical, JIT; Dr Narendra Bawane, Principal, JIT; and Dr Sohel Bhura, Vice Principal, JIT; along with Dr Uma Patel and Prof. Meher Bhawnani from the CSE Department worked hard for the success of the event.
